  • Steven Nutter, AICP

    he/him

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Steven guides the strategic, fundraising, and programmatic work of the organization. An urban planner by profession, gardener by passion, and a certified permaculture designer, he loves to design, build, and grow things to benefit communities of all kinds. He has served with LivableStreets for many years doing sustainable transportation advocacy, and has worked at the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee in communications and outreach for human rights and social justice programs. He has a Master of Public Policy in planning from Tufts and is pursuing his PhD in community education at Lesley University. He is vice-chair of the Cambridge Climate Committee and on the Advisory Board of Cambridge Local First.

  • Sarah Adkins

    PROJECT MANAGER

    Sarah is a Cambridge native with a background in nonprofit work focusing on food accessibility and community support. With a Bachelor of Science in Food Studies: Community Food Systems and Gastronomy from Syracuse University, she is passionate about implementing ways to alleviate hunger using place based programming that sustains both community and environment. She is an advocate for skill sharing, specifically around growing food and is interested in creating edible landscaping in vulnerable communities.

  • Sam Greene

    PROGRAM COORDINATOR

    Sam just completed her B.S. in Psychology and minor in Urban Studies at Tufts University. She is interested in how community infrastructure and services can best support people dealing with various stigmas/mental health experiences while also protecting the environment.

  • Liana Greenberg-Nielson

    she/her

    CANOPY CREW PROGRAM MANAGER

    Liana is originally from Upstate New York but has lived in the Boston area for the past four years. Liana holds a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and an MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Northeastern University. She is passionate about green infrastructure and accessible environmental outreach that includes all community members.

  • Isabella Carrion

    PROGRAM COORDINATOR

    Isabella has a B.A. in Environmental Science with a focus in Policy and Management. Isabella is passionate about creating opportunities for all people to learn about the environment as well as how they can have a positive environmental impact.

  • Julie Croston

    WILDLIFE ARTS CONSULTANT

    Julie founded the Wildlife Arts program and continues to advise the work as well as coordinate and volunteer at events. She is an artist and communications professional, with a demonstrated history of success in strategic communications, writing, social media, fundraising, program development, and coordination.
