  • Sarah Adkins

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Sarah guides the strategic direction and resource development of the organization, and manages its operations and initiatives. She is a Cambridge native with 10 years of experience in nonprofit work. She is driven by a commitment to environmental and food justice, climate resiliency, fostering youth, and community empowerment through education and activism. She holds a deep belief in the transformative power of skill sharing and has a BS in Food Studies: Community Food Systems and Gastronomy from Syracuse University.

  • Aunnesha Bhowmick

    YOUTH PROGRAMS MANAGER

    Aunnesha develops and manages our Youth Programs, including Canopy Crew and Restore Corps. Growing up in the Greater Boston area, she became passionate about place-based environmental education and justice. She received her BS in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley, and has experience in drought resiliency research, urban farming, sustainable development, and coastal restoration. Through her work, she strives to build a world where we can live sustainably, equitably, and connected to nature.

  • Grace Rumowicz

    TERRACORPS SERVICE MEMBER

    Grace is serving as the 25’-26’ Community Engagement Coordinator for Green Cambridge through Terracorps. She is a recent graduate of Clark University with a M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy and is passionate about promoting environmental advocacy through community action and engagement. Grace looks forward to growing and leading future volunteer opportunities in the Alewife Reservation while making connections with the community about our shared environment.  

  • Maya Bickel

    ALEWIFE DISTRICT PROJECT MANAGER

    Maya focuses on the Alewife District. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Middle East studies, specializing in historic forms of sustainable agriculture in the Levant. Since then, Maya has worked as a community organizer in Jerusalem and a researcher for a human rights and urban planning nonprofit. Maya cares about equitable access to and shared stewardship of urban green space, and is currently pursing a masters degree in Urban Planning at MIT.

  • Suzanne Alden

    DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

    Suzanne Alden, MSA, is a development professional with 25 years
    experience as a nonprofit director of development, grant consultant, educator, grant accountant, and development coach. Suzanne holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and women's studies and a masters degree in accounting. She earned the CFRE fundraising credential in 2009. Suzanne is the President of Rhody Grants, a consultation firm specializing in New England-based nonprofit grantseeking.
