Cambridge Green Streets Initiative We are a group of people who live, work, study or send children to school in Cambridge. For many reasons, including environmental, health, safety and community building ones, we have created Walk/Ride Days. On Walk/Ride days, which occur on the last Friday of every month, we encourage people to wear something green and use a "green" means of transportation in their commute or travels about the city that day. Ride a bus, train, bicycle or scooter, skate or walk, or any combination... even carpool... as you set a good example for children, friends, and coworkers.

LivableStreets Alliance is a non-profit organization formed in July, 2005 that believes urban transportation has the power to make Boston a more connected, livable city. Holds frequent events in Cambridge, so check out the blog.
