Compact Fluorescent Lighting
Bright Idea Campaign
Thousands of CFL bulbs have been sold by school groups in Cambridge, helping promote this energy and money saving much improved technology.
NStar School Fundraiser – A BRIGHT Idea
Call Mary McCarthy, a program manager at NStar (781-441-3888) if your school or youth group would like to raise money by selling the new CFL-compact fluorescent light-bulbs. The energy efficient lights are provided free of charge, so 100% of the proceeds go to your school. CFL’s save electricity and money.
Green Decade/Cambridge, with the development and support of John Tagiuri, has a killowatt meter/CLF vs. incandescent demonstration that we include at our community tabling events where electricity is available. We have also given away and sold thousands of CFL bulbs. Please contact us if you would like to include a demonstration table at your event.
Visit our informational flyers page for pdf files with information about the energy savings and safe recycling of CFL bulbs.
